Blackjack is already hugely popular. Whether you’re looking at land-based establishments or online casinos, blackjack is up there as one the most popular games to exist. An increase in 3:2 games – Vegas Strip – Better Blackjack versions
If you’re playing blackjack on the Vegas Strip, there’s no doubt that you’ll have noticed something when it comes to the payout for a natural blackjack. Practically all games where you can wager $25 or less come with 6:5. That means that by choosing to play on the Strip you’re pretty much choosing to just give your money away.
If you’re a high roller, you won’t struggle too much to find games with a 3:2 payout. However, if you’re mid or low-roller, like the majority of players, you’re resigned to the fact that you’re stuck with a lousy rule.

You could maybe compare the Strip to the likes of Times Square – there are higher prices for everything and you need to wander to find a good deal.
What would help to make blackjack even better is knowing that these rules are secure. We’d hate to see these other casinos follow the strip by bringing in rules that really bring the game down.
Creating a new blackjack experience in new environments
If you take a look around the US now, you can’t help but notice that legal sports betting is really taking off. This is available in more and more places and what we’ve started to see is casinos adding new blackjack tables where there are views of sports.
The thing is, blackjack is a game that offers more fun than any other. We’d like to see an expansion in the number of places that it can be played as this has the potential to develop a whole new experience.
Just a few years ago, The Linq in Las Vegas had a great idea. It decided to add a few blackjack tables next to a craft beer bar. This meant that those who chose to play there got something that couldn’t be found anywhere else in Vegas – blackjack with craft beer. Admittedly, this didn’t last for long but we’d love to see things like this make a return.
New variants and better Blackjack versions
Something else that goes towards making blackjack so popular is the fact that there are an array of variants to choose from. Each and every year there are new variants tried out in casinos but the downside is that not many of these last.
The problem with some of the newer variants here is that the house edge goes ludicrously high. That takes away one of the major appeals of the game and so it makes sense that players would walk away.
Casinos are always on the hunt to find ways to boost their profits. Players, on the other hand, are just looking for a way to have fun. The challenge comes with finding a point that’s somewhere in the middle. Players are tired of unfavorable rules being introduced to their favorite game so there’s no that they’ll accept new variants with the same downside.
More machine blackjack games
Across the country, you’ll find ETGs and stadium gaming installations. These are new to some players, but then there are those who gamble regularly and have been doing so for some time. These kinds of players are in need of something new to enjoy. Of course, there are game developers out there that come out with some truly amazing titles and it would be great for 2023 to be the year when a must-play machine blackjack game hit the market.
The worry here is that the Global Gaming Expo has been and gone for another year. There was no sign of any new blackjack offerings so it appears that, for now, those looking for a new experience are just going to have to wait.

We don’t want anyone thinking that we’ve had our fill of blackjack. The truth is that this game will always be our favorite and it will always be one of the most popular in casinos around the world. We’d just like to see some tweaks here and there that could add to the game and make it even better.
Whether or not any of these changes (or wishes) will become a reality is anyone’s guess. The chances of casinos on the strip suddenly offering better rules are slim, to say the least, but that doesn’t mean that these other wishes should be written off and dismissed.
