This is something that has been increasingly popular over the last few years, and it’s reached the stage where it’s almost impossible to find a casino that doesn’t come with some kind of secret hideaway. In this article we´re going to be taking a look at some of the the most hidden Las Vegas casino secrets.
While the bars and lounges may be hidden, they’re no longer really hard to find. That’s because all that you need is access to social media and pretty much every location has already been revealed.
Casino-goers seek out these hideaways as they offer something different from the main venue. There is an intimate feel that the main bars just can’t match. The downside though, is that this intimacy can soon lead to a feeling of being crowded. The rooms are designed to hold less than 100 people, and they can fill up pretty quickly.

Hidden venues within venues are hugely popular right now. However, this wasn’t always the case and it has to be said that the Cosmopolitan can be seen as something of a trendsetter. All the way back in 2010, it featured a pizza shop that the majority of people didn’t realize existed.
All these years later, the pizza shop is still a secret. Sure, plenty of visitors have found it, but there are more that are blissfully unaware that it’s there. If you want to experience it for yourself, you need to be heading to the third floor.
Secret bars and restaurants at the Cosmopolitan
It’s not just about pizza at the Cosmopolitan. There are also various secret bars and restaurants to be enjoyed, once you know where to find them. Looking for a helping hand? These are what they are and where to find them:
- E by Jose Andres – this is a private restaurant where the seats are extremely limited. You’ll find it on the third floor and it features a 20 course meal with a price tag of $275 per person
- Beauty and Essex – hidden behind a pawn shop, and close to the secret pizza shop, this restaurant is all about shareable plates. This is a venue that’s loud and dark but offers plenty of fun
- Ghost Donkey – this one was the first hidden bar to feature in the Cosmopolitan. You’ll need to head to the Block 16 food hall to find this one. When you find a door with a donkey logo, you’ve arrived
- The Barbershop – you can get your haircut here in the daytime, but during the evening, you could see long queues forming. That’s because there’s the chance to be whisked off to a large live music venue that’s a well-kept secret during daylight hours.
- Ski Lodge – the newest of the hidden bars, you’ll need to head to the second floor to find it. This is a small bar that serves great cocktails and offers top entertainment
Las Vegas casino secrets – Resorts World
If you’re looking for something a little different, you need to find the Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den. This one is hidden behind a door at a retail store near the Resorts World Famous foods dining area. When you find the location, you’ll notice that the shopkeeper is your way in. They will take people behind the door and allow them to enter a dark speakeasy. This area seems to be inspired by the Prohibition Era, but it comes with an Asian twist.
You’ll be grateful that you found there Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den. You’ll notice that the service is first-class and that the cocktails are out of this world. If you want to visit during the week, entry starts at 430 pm. During the week, it’s a little earlier, at 3 pm.
The Lock – Horseshoe Las Vegas
The newly opened Horseshoe Las Vegas wouldn’t be complete without its own hidden bar. Called The Lock, it’s hidden in The Cabinet of Curiosities. You’ll find that this bar is located on the lower level of the casino. It’s not a million miles away from the arcade.
If you go on the hunt for a bank vault door, you’ll then come across a locksmith who will only be too pleased to help you gain entry. When inside, you need to take the time to try the signature cocktails. You can be sure that you’ll be heading back for more after your first visit.
Easy’s Cocktail Lounge – Aria
You’ll find this cocktail lounge by heading to the second floor of the property. Tucked behind the donut and coffee shop, this hidden lounge is one of the easiest to find in Vegas as the second floor is dominated by restaurants and conference space.
It may be easy to find, but it’s less easy to get into. Generally, you’ll find that there’s a bit of a queue. That’s because the venue only seats 50 people and can only hold 75 in total. There’s often live music going on and this tends to add to the crowds.
You can head to Easy’s from 6pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
1923 Prohibition Bar – Mandalay Bay
This bar can be found on the second floor of the Mandalay Palace. It’s hidden away behind a bookshelf that can be found next to the Minus 5 ice bar. The secret nature of this bar has been spoilt somewhat since a discreet sign pointing the way was added.
It’s still well worth a visit and you’ll find that its roaring 20s theme attracts a sizable crowd. The downside is that the bar is often closed as it holds numerous private parties.
